PURE MOTIVE SPRING-STREAM 2026
 
We're excited to announce that our first livestream of the year will be broadcast live on our Twitch channel:
https://www.twitch.tv/pure_motive

It will be noisy and colourful, although the sound quality should be better than in our previous livestreams because we have been tweaking it the past few months specially for livestreams.
 
Some of our new drum beats are based on recordings made by our original drummer, Warren Bernard, and we think they sound quite awesome and we can't wait for you to hear them properly too!
 
We'll also be using some newly reworked bass backing too.

The original “Dull Without You” uploaded to Facebook
 

Shane wrote a love song for Tanya in late 2007 called "Dull Without You" which they finished recording after their marriage in early 2008.  Shane created a drum track, played the guitars and bass and sang with Tanya capturing, helping with the production and creating the artwork.  The song was only ever uploaded to MySpace under the name Pure Motive and that was how Pure Motive started.
And now, without further ado, we present the original version of "Dull Without You" back online for the first time in many years!

We have been busy printing our first batch of Pure Motive t-shirts to be sold at gigs.  Our black Pure Motive t-shirts are 100% cotton with reflective vinyl logos and will sell for £15 each at future venues.  Check out our online store too, however, please send us a DM or an email if you would like to order as we need to calculate the postage/packaging amount to be added to any online orders.

The Pure Motive livestream experience has ended.  We livestreamed one song per week on Facebook on Wednesdays at 7pm UK time from 22nd May to 7 August 2024.  All videos were filmed by Corgan Layden.  We are uploading the ten song series to TikTok too.  (Update: Facebook's live stream policy has since changed, so the original live streams are no longer available, but you can still see them on TikTok and YouTube through the links below.)

WEEKLY PURE MOTIVE LIVESTREAM SERIES COMMENCES

We have started livestreaming one song per week in a series we are calling A Song For Your Face on Wednesdays at 7pm UK time on Facebook.  Should run for about ten weeks as we only have ten songs at the moment…

LIVE STREAMING TESTS COMPLETE

We tested our Twitch Channel with a live stream of “I Know Ledge” at 7pm this evening.  Corgan filmed it using Tanya's phone again.  We managed to perform the song well, but we will never know how it looked and sounded on Facebook because we had not set the VOD to save.  It seemed to have worked though.  We have uploaded it to TikTok.  We are now finished testing our live streaming capabilities.
